Ink enterprises should lead their products to the direction of environmental protection

in recent years, China's ink industry has developed rapidly, the output has continued to grow rapidly, the application level of new technology and new equipment has been continuously improved, the production technology level and product quality of most enterprises have been greatly improved, and the market of environmental friendly ink products has grown rapidly, which is increasingly valued by people. In particular, packaging ink, as an important growth field of global ink, environmental friendly products are becoming popular. At present, the important development trend of packaging and printing materials is to improve their environmental performance and choose pollution-free packaging materials that are energy-saving, low consumption, non-toxic, pollution-free and easy to degrade, of which ink is the raw material causing serious pollution. Therefore, every ink manufacturer is duty bound to reduce the environmental pollution and energy consumption of ink

I. overview of domestic ink industry

at present, China's ink industry has a considerable scale, with more than 300 production enterprises, of which more than 30 have a considerable scale and production and R & D capacity. The comprehensive production capacity of ink is about 22 per year. 120000 tons can be known through the work of equipment appearance, ranking fourth in the world, accounting for about 5% - 6% of the world's total output. Generally speaking, although Chinese ink can basically meet the needs of domestic printing and packaging industry, there is still a certain gap compared with the advanced level of foreign countries. For example, benzene solvent based inks account for a large proportion of plastic gravure printing inks in China, while developed countries such as Europe and the United States account for 1 Experimental force: 2kg-20kg benzene solvents are definitely prohibited in food packaging and printing. After China's entry into WTO, "technical barriers to trade" has become the biggest challenge faced by many export enterprises

II. Development direction of China's ink industry

at the ink conference held in Hangzhou in April 2005, many experts proposed to improve the environmental protection and hygiene of ink, and suggested to strengthen the control index of heavy metals in the ink industry standard. This year, a new national standard for ink will be issued, which will strictly regulate and control the residue of benzene solvents and the content of heavy metals. The introduction of such standards will make the domestic plastic packaging ink in the future product development must be linked with safety and hygiene. As far as its solvent system is concerned, it should be developed in the direction of benzene free, alcohol soluble and water-based; As far as the binder technology is concerned, it should be developed in the direction of alcohol soluble polymer system. Polyurethane ink is favored by users because of its low toxicity, good printability for pet and NY materials, high temperature cooking resistance, freezing resistance, wear resistance and other excellent properties, and will gradually replace chlorinated polypropylene ink. Plastic packaging inks will develop in the direction of heavy metal free pigments as far as their pigment system is concerned. Domestic pigment manufacturers will face the risk of being eliminated if they cannot integrate with international manufacturers in this regard. In this way, Chinese ink will move towards the fast lane of rational development

III. fundamentally improve the impact of ink on the environment

1 Improve ink connecting materials

in Europe and the United States, plastic inks can be divided into two types: surface printing and internal printing. Considering the production cost and market development requirements, the current surface printing ink uses the mixture of alcohol soluble polyamide and nitrocellulose as the connecting material, and the produced ink can completely replace the current surface printing ink with toluene and isopropanol as the solvent. The surface printing ink with polyester and polyurethane as the main connecting material has excellent performance. At present, it has been the leading ink for high-end flexible packaging printing in Europe and the United States. Some printing and packaging with high requirements have adopted this kind of ink. In recent years, the application of waterborne plastic film flexible packaging ink in flexographic printing has been reported abroad. At present, benzene free (or alcohol soluble) composite inks are used in China. Polyester/polyurethane or PVB resin is the main binder, and BOPP, pet and NY films can be printed. Their printability, composite adaptability and specific functional requirements meet or exceed benzene inks. In addition, the research and development of alcohol soluble ink using modified acrylic polymer and PVB as connecting material and the ink technology for waterborne flexible packaging have made substantial breakthroughs. Similar alcohol soluble inks have been introduced to the market in batches, such as Zhejiang New Oriental ink, Shanghai DIC, Shanghai sikebai and Dalian Schmidt, and other manufacturers have their own alcohol soluble ink products

2. Fundamentally eradicate

China's plastic color printing manufacturers are of different sizes, and the performance grades of production equipment are uneven, with small-scale color printing manufacturers accounting for the majority. Due to the intensification of competition in the packaging industry, some small-scale manufacturers pay attention to product cost, ignore the internal quality of products, and lack the evaluation of comprehensive performance, safety and hygiene. In view of this, printing manufacturers have made great efforts to strictly control printing equipment, raw materials, process parameters, etc. However, toluene has good affinity for BOPP and other polyolefin films. When printing packaging bags, especially on printing materials with large inking area and thick ink layer, the solvent residue is difficult to volatilize. Although there is strict process management, once out of control, there may be excessive benzene solvent residues. Although some large-scale printing manufacturers have advanced equipment, it is often difficult to control the toluene residue in printed matter, which has become a difficulty in the sanitary quality control of flexible packaging. Only by controlling from the source can we fundamentally eliminate it. At present, many manufacturers have adopted alcohol soluble composite ink as a new printing process, and the residue of toluene has been greatly reduced, which can meet the current industry recommended control standard of <3mg/m2. Although the toluene residue is controlled within a limited range, it is still inconsistent with the European Union and the United States standards, and the export products still cannot pass the technical barriers of Western Europe and other developed countries. Only the introduction of mandatory standards can fundamentally solve the safety and health problems of solvent residues in China's printing and packaging industry. Fortunately, the national certification and Accreditation Administration has attached great importance to it and will implement the product certification and control system (3C certification) from this year, which must meet the hygienic standard of composite food packaging bags. Only plastic food packaging products that meet 3C certification standards can be listed. This standard is aimed at all food packaging enterprises, including plastic products, paper products, composite packaging products, glass ceramics, etc. This standard requires that enterprises producing food packaging materials must implement this mandatory standard, from raw material procurement to production process, to human safety in production and product use, and the safety of post-use waste to the environment. This is a great challenge and opportunity for color printing packaging enterprises and ink production enterprises

IV. advocating the concept of green packaging

Zhejiang New Oriental ink Group Co., Ltd. has always advocated the concept of green packaging. Over the years, it has fully cooperated with (Hong Kong) Singapore Hg resin company, combined with the rapid growth of the number of Chinese enterprises and employees, and the technical development characteristics of alcohol soluble inks, so as to fully realize the industrial organization adjustment, It took the lead in launching a series of environmental friendly inks for food and drug packaging: Haoda 421fd alcohol soluble composite inks are specially used for the printing of BOPP and other films; Super Lifu 303fd alcohol soluble composite ink is used for pet and ony film printing; And super Lifu 313fd and 311fd alcohol soluble surface printing functional inks are used for LDPE coextrusion films and other products. These alcohol soluble (benzene free, butanone free) environmental friendly inks have been widely used in the packaging of liquid foods such as milk, as well as frozen foods, fresh vegetables, milk powder, cookies, chocolate and other packaging. Haoda 421fd white ink can also be used with chlorinated polypropylene color ink to significantly reduce the residue of toluene in the printing film. In the field of cooking packaging ink, the new generation (single component) super Lifu 3100fd cooking resistant (benzene free, butanone free) alcohol soluble composite ink has also been comprehensively introduced to the market. This kind of environmental friendly ink has better printability and post-processing adaptability than benzene ink

to sum up, ink enterprises must have a sense of advance: first, adhere to the scientific concept of development, and put the improvement of human health environment at the top of all work; Second, attention has fallen compared with 2013; The share of Korean enterprises rose rapidly to 30.56%; Tongguang yinben is actively distributing the equipment transformation and technological innovation of enterprises in the power battery market. "The key to prevent packaging pollution is the source", "source" is the ink packaging material manufacturing enterprise, which can be fundamentally eliminated only by controlling from the source; Third, pay attention to the packaging safety information of foreign countries, especially the European Union, the United States and Japan
